LONDON (AFP) - English champions Chelsea asked FIFA to investigate Real Madrid for making an alleged illegal approach to sign Dutch winger Arjen Robben.
The London club are furious Real's newly-elected president Ramon Calderon claimed his representatives had spoken to Holland international Robben about a possible move to the Spanish team.
Calderon went public about his interest in the former PSV Eindhoven star after winning the race to become Bernebau chief on July 2.
But Chelsea are adamant the 22-year-old is not for sale and chief executive Peter Kenyon believes world football's governing body should investigate the situation.
